The DSR Screenwriting Lab is an immersive, five-month creative and professional development program that bridges education and real-world production. Designed for emerging storytellers and aspiring TV writers, the Lab guides participants from concept to screen through hands-on workshops, mentorship, and collaborative writing that culminates in a DSR original production.

 

Dirt-Stained Roses launches its 2025-2026 Screenwriting Lab-an immersive, five-month journey that culminates in the production and premiere of an original horror anthology series. At the helm is DSR intern Shane McCravy as Executive Producer-in-Training, gaining invaluable leadership experience while steering the creative process. 

 

Joining him is a talented cohort of emerging voices: Ryonn Gloster, Caleb Lee,  Jason Pruett, Sarah Lacey-Irivine, Briana Elmore, Brian Releford, and Laura Garcia.  The writers will collaborate in a dynamic, real-time writers' room to craft bold stories that harness the horror genre to illuminate urgent social issues through culturally grounded and emotionally resonant storytelling.
